The Senior Scientist - Mass Spectrometry role will support our trace level analysis team and be responsible for assessing, developing, and validating analytical methods to analyze various products to deliver accurate data to ensure our products continue to meet our internal high-quality standards and the expectations of our customers and global health authorities.
- Provide expertise in the areas of Analytical Science and Technology; this may include, but is not limited to method development and validation for novel test methods for trace level analysis and support of analytical instrumentation (installation, qualification, calibration etc.)
- Works semi-independently and/or in a team environment to meet or exceed established objectives while utilizing proactive thinking to generate creative solutions to complex technical problems. Acts as a technical team member with cross functional project responsibilities on assigned projects.
- Adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and data integrity requirements, laboratory processes and procedures, and utilizes good documentation practices.
- Conducts experiments using HPLC/UPLC-MS in support of assigned projects.
- Proficient in usage of common analytical instrumentation.
- Ensure a safe working environment and proactively address potential safety concerns.
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Masters Degree in a Life Science (Chemistry preferred) – 3-5 years experience orPhD Life Science (Chemistry preferred) – 0-3 years experience.
Experience in HPLC/UPLC mass spectrometry analysis.
Experience in trace levels analysis and analysis of nitrosamine impurities.
Strong Technical Writing Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience working in a GxP laboratory environment.
